Kylvincast is a collaborative roleplaying/worldbuilding project.
While many of the broad aspects of the world (Major Geography, History, Races, Classes, etc.) had been created by the GM before the game began, many other specific aspects were left open for the group to fill in as the game progresses. Players may use the preexisting materials for character backgrounds but are highly encouraged to design their own ideas and work with the GM to find a place for them in the world. Players can design the small town or city that their characters grew up in, create the people who live there, determine the political structure, even design the factions that hold power. The only restriction is that anything new must fit with anything that came before. Creating a coastal fishing village in a landlocked area doesn’t work just as creating a city with a strict dictatorship in an established country known for its democracy wouldn’t work.
